Almost Bought a SR9c

Wasn't kidding, almost bought one today. I really like most everything about it. The price locally was to much. Almost $500 for the black model OTD. He would not throw in a box of ammo. So I'll just wait for a better price elsewhere. $400 from Buds and a dealer fee would beat that price.I know they have to make a living but $50 or more markup a bit much.

The 9mm will be for me while I'm being eaten if the 357 don't stop him. With the 9mm I might could have an open casket.

In all seriousness....that price is WAY high. I found mine for $389.00 about 7 months ago. Should be able to find one local for $419.00 I would think. Possibly try for throw in peanut butter instead of ammo, I hear it works better.

Well I got one in stainless by calling around , 03/04/2011 production. $458 OTD. Already got it cleaned and ready to go. He gave me a box of Federal Classic 115 gr HI-SHOCK Jacketed Hollow Point. The slide is stiff because its new. Watch out for that finger getting bit by the safety when I racked it back.

A that price I wouldn't insult him by asking either. Wish I had deals like that around here, I'd be gun poor. The slide spring is pretty strong, my wife can't pull it back to lock it. Hope it loosens up after I break it in..

I used to rack it overhand with my left hand over the slide, and it would tear up my palm. I finally learned. Ruger needs to learn how to melt the slides/safeties/slide stops so that the owner doesn't go broke buying BandAids.

I ended up stoning the edges of the slide serrations.

Paid 439 for mine and found it alter that day for 419. My fault for impulse purchase but it was cheaper than the alternatives I was looking at.
