The Sticks---N.W. Orygun
After a bit of buying and selling I am getting closer to completing a set of Single Sixes. This is by no means a true collection but it suits me just fine. Of course now that I am low on bucks there is a KS4 listed. Really wish I could figure out a way to get that one in this photo. :D The search for the KS9 only lasted about 3 years.
Guess these will have to satisfy me for a while.

Looks like a nice collection to me....This gun collection is just a never ending thing when you start you just can't stop. As one gets older it is almost as much fun as ..............

The 9 1/2" is pretty fun. This one has not been sage rat shooting but I have another in blue that has been a few times. Hitting a pop can size target at 50 yards or better sure makes the nah-sayers take notice.

Gunner...Would you give me a little edu. here. When I hear the term New Single Six it makes me think of the ones produced from 1973 thru 2013 in the 22Lr and 22Mag. On more study I see and hear the term New Single Six SSM but it is listed in the 32 H&R Mag. If what I am reading is correct the 32 was only produced 1984 thru 2006. Am I on the right track here and which does your collection fall under. Also the KS9 & KS4 what does that term mean.

Respectfully
JP

I don't know anything about the 32 single sixes but all of mine are new models 73 forward.
The KS9 and KS4 were factory shipped with a single 22lr cylinder. I was not particularly looking for one of these but wanted a 9 1/2" in stainless real bad to go along with my other stainless single sixes. I stumbled onto this one---after 3+ years of looking, and finally got it. I didn't even know about the KS4 until a forum member posted one for sale this week. If you find it in the classified you can tell by the price that it is not your run of the mill single six. These single cylinder revolvers are marked with a star (hence star marked) just in front of the trigger guard. They are few and far between so when I finally found one I jumped on it. If my gun funds were not currently in the red , I would jump on the KS4 listed. It is the first I have ever seen and it will probably be a while before another surfaces.

JP; You are correct in the knowledge of New Models being post 1973.
The 32 mag was ALSO listed as a NM, SSM, (Single-Six Magnum) The first 800 or so 32 H&R mags were actually marked on the frame with SSM.
The different models of Rugers are given letters & numbers to designate the configuration of a firearm.
K- stands for Stainless
KS- stands for stainless New Model Super Single-Six Single cylinder
The numbers here stand for the barrel length.
The 4 stands for 4-5/8"
The 9 stands for 9-1/2"

I like those set of revolver especially the first one with long body. Revolver is also one of the best hand gun aside from dessert eagle and tactical.
