I did a similar project with mine. The results were very satisfying. I kept the original front sight, though I did paint it yellow to aid my trifocals! I suspect the new Hiviz is a definite aid, yes?

I see nothing "blingy" about that. It's just a high polish on a fine firearm. Nice too!

Full power .357 factory loads are no problem. The size of the grip fills the hand and distributes the recoil over a wide area. I had no stinging or discomfort of any kind.

The HiViz is awsome. It comes with red, green yellow and white inserts so you can pick the color that you like. I used the green and it gathered so much light on an overcast day that it looked like it was glowing. I let a S&W owner I met at the range shoot it and he was impressed by the way the sight stood out. I highly recomend it!

After installing the fiber optic I took it to the range to resight it. After making the adjustments I was hitting 3" Shoot & See pasties at 15 and 18 yards without any problems.

Now, I am seriously thinkin' about the Hi Viz sight for the revolver. I have a similar sight on my Ruger 22/45 and I have mixed feelings about that one. The rear sight on the .22 is a shallow V with a white vertical line and I have a little trouble getting the vertical alignment correct; it's sorta like a baseball balancing on a pencil tip.
I suspect the U rear sight on my GP100 will be easier to use and the front will be even easier to see...and if I don't like it, I'm not out a terrible amount of cash...

Being mainly a semi-auto guy I'm use to the 3 dot sights. The factory black sight on the GP100 took too long for me to get on target. After using the TruGlo TFOs on a number of semis, I really fell in love with the fiber optic design. When I saw the HiViz for the GP100 I had to give it a try. I'm so happy with it that I'll be getting one for my 2" SP101 just as soon as I can find one in stock.

I broke down and ordered a HiViz from Amazon, should be here next week. Lookin' forward to checking it out! I suspect it'll be a lot better'n yellow paint!

Put the HiViz on my GP100 also. I really like it. My GP100 actually shoots balls on right out of the box so I have not had to adjust anything. Great sight. Good luck with yours.

Nice job. Looks great. My LGS has a used GP 100 for $249.00. Might just have to try and sneak it under the radar, if you know what I mean.

I installed the Hi Viz front sight easily, took only minutes. Went to the range today and blasted the paper zombies. The sight probably didn't help my accuracy due to my Parkinson's, but it sure made the sight alignment quicker.

Tried taking some photos of the installation and it just didn't work out. Did have one of my buddies take a shot of me after shootin' magnum reloads at 25 ft. Right target, right hand with left target left hand; even though I'm right handed, I shot better today with my left hand dominant.
