Well I'll go first.
We dumped AT&T and went with Verizon. It's $60 per month and it's this little white cube. You plug it into the wall for power. That's all there is too it.
The password is on the bottom.
it's got to be near a window, so they say, not sure if it's important or not. It connects to the Verizon cell phone tower.
Speeds are around 60-100 mbps. Which is fast enough for three people and a tv and computer to stream whatever at the same time.
Unlimited data usage.

Verizon doesn't offer that service where we live so we are using T-mobile. As soon as Verizon becomes available we will change.

That is about the crappiest speed I ever saw. Our Verizon was slightly better than that. Nevertheless we dumped it.
Our son works for a major company and has zoom calls and whatever frequently. When he visits he has to work part of the day. He could not connect and he could not work. At his home he had no problems.
We switched to Cable and we now get about 600 all the time. Now when he visits he's OK. Regardless, we really didn't need all that extra power for ourselves, but now that we have it everything works better for us as well.
The main thing, though, is that Verizon was never reliable. It would cut out frequently and we had to reboot. Our cable works 100% no matter what. And guess what? The cable is cheaper.
After all that mine seems pitiful. I have DSL through Centurylink. pay for 30 / 1 and get about 28 / 1.75.
On a contract price so as long as I don't ask them to change anything it will be $40 bucks a month for life. Of course now that fiber is in the front yard I may want to look into that? Not sure. My laptop and fire stick seem to do fine. I could work from home before I was let go and now still do zoom meetings for unemployment reasons.

Att Uverse or what ever they call it now... there are two phone lines (still what I call them) to our house... our home phone and my business phone... couple of years ago ATT called me and said my business would have to change to their Uverse plan and this would require a fiber optic cable ... they did it and then I called and asked for the same for the home line.. the only issue is the idiots and methods for burying the cables.... at best they put them 4" underground.. after about a year or so one broke... when the repair dude finally showed up I had buried. about a 100ft of 1" conduit for the guy to run the new cables through..... so far it works great and does a pretty good job of streaming shows from Roku and me messing with y'all here on the Ruger forum.
After having to deal with AT&t DSL for 15 years at 3mb or less, our EMC (power company) went into the internet business. One of the best days of my life was when I was able to call AT&T and tell them to stick it. I would not blink an eye right now if AT&T went bankrupt and disappeared. Anyway, the new fiber is excellent and worth every penny. I pay for 1 gig service and this is what I get.

I have AT&T and have had them a long time. Just had a free fiber upgrade. I rarely have a problem. 3 phones and internet with all full service, unlimited everything. A little expensive but I have no problems. What has been nice is when traveling abroad, Taiwan, Japan, and the Phillipines my service has been seemless. I don't do nothing, just use it.

But no seriously, they have fiber two blocks over. And this summer they laid the cables for our street but it’s not quite done. They are still doing the final work on it.
We had cable, it’s was $100 per month and half the speed of the Verizon box.
We feel for the price of $60/month it’s pretty good. Last night my wife brought home pizza. It was $58. So I don’t know what’s worse.

I duped AT&T and went with Spectrum. MUCH improved internet speed for less money. Spectrum locked me into a deep-discount rate for 2 years. It expires next year. Time will tell how much they value my loyalty.

I have heard really good things about Starlink. Both from users and from our IT department in Austria. I'll be getting Starlink when I move to Montana.
