Hi,
I recently received a new Super Blackhawk but I must say that I am a bit dissapointed with the overall finish of the gun. It has tool marks and scratches. The grinding work on the mainframe is sloppy and it seems the Base pin latch hole is drilled to low.
I know that it is a relatively cheap revolver and that you should not expect it to look like a "Freedom arms", but what is an acceptable level of finish? I have a 10/22 and a Mark III and I have nothing to complain about in terms of finish on these, so I know that not alla Rugers looks like my blackhawk.
Since I live in Sweden and ordered the gun through a swedish distributor (that do not stock this modell) it will be quite a process to return it to Ruger and have it replaced. So before I start that process I would like to know if this is what to expect, or if my gun is one that should not have passed the quality controll.
Please have a look at the pictures below and let me know what you think.
Best regards
Erik
