More sad news from the world of rock: AC/DC co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young passed away today at age 64.

The Young family's taken a hit with the loss of both Malcolm and older brother George who died about a month ago. Prayers come for Angus and the rest of the family. Thanks for some very interesting and innovative work, gentlemen. May you both rest in peace.

I can't say that I've really been a fan of AC/DC... The earlier configuration with Bon Scott was interesting, but the guy that came along afterward (Brian Johnson) got on my nerves as a singer, although he's a splendid and interesting fellow otherwise.

Malcolm sure got a bum deal: He was suffering dementia for a good 8-10 years... A tough, miserable and long way to die. That rock & roll lifestyle is fun when you're young and full of beans... Not so much when the party catches up!

Sad news indeed. I knew he had been suffering from dementia for a while now.
It must be hell. Slowly losing all your memories, knowledge and ability to
function. I hope he has found peace.
Bon Scott has passed on, Brian Johnson is nearly deaf and no longer touring,
Phil Rudds off again on again relationship with the band, the only thing left of
the band is Angus and the name.

I grew up listening to AC/DC. Great band. Some of the first songs I ever played on the drums were AC/DC tunes. They're deceptively simple with minute complexities that take a lifetime to learn (at least for me).

Malcolm was one of those guys that you never heard much out of, he just kept on rocking for 50 years! RIP, Malcolm, you will be missed.
