A lot of work but I’ll bet it does draw a crowd when they drive it. It would be fun to pull up next to a regular bug and watch their reaction.

As a former expert in the nuances of Volkswagen, I can say that the detail is phenomenal! Most people don't realize that the Type 1 convertible bug body was actually built by Karmen Ghia, and not Volkswagen Wolfsburg! He even got the Karman tag (Karman Colosal) included!

Brilliant work.. Absolutely brilliant!

Close.... the coachbuilder was Karmann (2 "n"s). Ghia was the Italian designer responsible for the design of the Karmann Ghia, and had nothing to do with the Type I ragtop.

I will just say that lacking the requisite forming dies for fenders & hood, etc, he has in his employ some very very good tin knockers. 8)

I used to own a few bugs. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my years,,, after 6 bugs,, and knowing how neat they are,,, to see this would turn my head if I was out & about!
