I recently bought this 300 Winchester Express and when it arrived I discovered it had quite a few mishandling marks and scrapes that were not shown in the photographs and description. That plus the fact it is a common 760- prefix rifle made it easy to decide this would be my "using" Express. The scope is a Trijicon 3-9X40 AccuPower with the green MOA reticle. The ammo is Hornady's 150 gr. GMX load at an advertised 3400 fps. I can't vouch for that as I had forgotten to take a fresh battery for the chronograph but the recoil was rather sharp but not heavy. This combo is not a lightweight.
I was pleased with the accuracy although not surprised as I had been told these rifles were generally good shooters. After getting it close to where I wanted it, I began shooting three shot groups between tweaking the scope. I fired five groups total and they ranged between 3/4" and 1 1/4" center to center. The last group was the best, centered and at the right height so I called it done. I honestly think the rifle would have shot better with a better shooter but it certainly shoots minute of deer or elk for a long ways off.
