A long way from heaven and far too close to Chicag
I managed to get a quantity of late season cucumbers and discovered I was out of pickling lime. Dear hubby says no problem, he has to go to the court house about some of our assessments and he'll stop at Rural King on the way back and get some. I should have listened to the queasy feeling in my stomach then and there but noooooo...

When he returned he disappeared out to the storage shed suddenly I hear pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop. When I check he has both of the toy machine guns my Dad and uncle played with when they were children. I was under the impression they no longer made the caps for them but it seems Rural King has them in stock at great quantity. :( He assures me there will be plenty of roll caps left when LR gets home.

Never again will I allow my husband in Rural King without adult supervision.

Adult supervision is highly over-rated. Go with it. The force is strong with this one...

I thought you were going to say he bought a huge bag of lime that you lay down in the garden soil instead of the pickling lime. 8)
