I have been practicing with my shooting sticks ever since I have been limited to using one arm after getting hurt at work. (I had surgery yesterday on my left elbow where they went down to the bone, pulled out damaged tendon and ligament. Unfortunately I am already having more pain which is most likely nerve pain because I was given some heavy pain killers which according to the doc should be helping, but they have not put a dent in the pain. But back to the sticks, I made these up so I can shoot during hunting season no matter what. I have been experimenting alot with my Outdoorsman and some .38-44 loads, mostly the tried and true #358156 in both SWC and HP form and 12.5 grains of 2400. The target here was a cut down piece of paper, to about 7 x 9 inches or so, the size of a deer's vitals and put out to 65 yards. I did this last week and when I am up to it I will practice more since I am looking at well over 6 months of therapy ahead and possibly another surgery.

Good for you! Best rehab plan includes living your life! It takes a lotta determination to "damn the torpedos" and get some of YOUR important things done. I recently had back surgery and know where you're "coming from"....
