I have a 77/22 Hornet that was, according to the serial number, made in 1995. The current model lists the twist rate as 1 in 14". Has that been the rate since the beginning? Some of my loading manuals show the Hornet with a 1 in 16" twist and caution against using certain bullets with anything less than 1 in 14". I can't get to the range as often as I would like and hate to load up a bunch of ammo only to find it doesn't work well.
