I was really interested in the 17 HM2 for a time. I still am to a degree.
Seems that shortly after the round was developed, a series of bad batches of ammunition came out and caused some serious issues. Apparently these issues really hurt future sales of the 17 HM2.
A Shame really, but also a lesson in that everything must go right for a new round to gain popularity.
I am still tempted to buy a 77/22, and switch the barrel for a 17 HM2 barrel
