I just bought this Jack Hunington converted Super Redhawk from a friend and thought I'd post a photo or two (chambered in 500 Linebaugh):

My first session produced this group @ 25 yards off the bench:

The load was 29.5 grains of H110 with a 435 WFN. To say I'm impressed with Jack's work would be an understatement.

That is a beast! You gotta have some steady hands for that one Lee. I am flinching just thinking about touching one of those off!

Thanks. It wasn't horrible with 435's. I plan on setting the gun up for 525 WFNs at around 1,100 fps. I'll let you guys know how those shoot.

The recoil with 500s and 525s is quite "snappy." Keep in mind the revolver weighs under 3-lbs. It's a great piece!

Damn! I can't believe you sold that one.

It has to be one of the nicest looking SRH conversions I have seen....short of maybe the Bowen GP-44 conversion.

I can always have another built......but I am having another .500 Linebaugh put together.

you boys are such recoil junkies

go for it till your internal pressure subsides and you feel so much better

Hey, I've been called worse -- LOL! :D

I'm not really fond of DA revolvers, but this one is one I would consider buying. It's too bad I can't convince myself to send a gun off to one of the custom shops.

Then you are depriving yourself of something special!

It's easy to get a group with all the holes touching when you've got such wide slugs!!!!

Just kidding. That's some impressive shooting with a sharp looking Super Redhawk.

Jack built me a Bisley in .500 Linebaugh.I use a Buffalo Bore 525 gr load that goes app. 1,100 fps..It's a great load, very manageable, hits hard and shoots well out of my gun.

The load I used in this gun last year on a moose and a black bear was Grizzly Cartridge's 500 grain LFN at about 1,150 fps. It's a killing machine!

Very cool. That beast has some TEETH to it I bet!

It's actually not bad. I'm now shooting 525 WFNs over 25.0 of H110. They go around 1,100 fps and hit hard. Accurate too.

You're just numb......

Nice one Lee, did you buy that from Whit?

Yep!

Let's hear it for having good friends! Next time the two of you get tired of one of the many stunning, one-of-a-kind jaw droppers in your stable, and go to sell it, think about the little guys... particularly me. :)

Okay! I know where a .475 SRH is that is for sale (another one that used to mine!).......
