The 4th is celebrating our independence, not veterans.
Memorial Day is for celebrating those who gave everything they had and ever will have had for our way of life.
Veterans Day is for celebrating those who served.
Armed Forces Day is for celebrating those who are currently serving.
And everyday is for celebrating that we can celebrate the above "special" days. This is why my flag flies everyday, not just on designated holidays.

It's also a day to lament what an ignorant electorate we have that knows nothing of our history and only votes for free stuff. I'm seriously afraid that this Republic is at the precipice.
