454-480 barrels

Read on another forum of a member having issues with his sbk 480 barrel. He's been going back and forth with ruger on coming up with a solution. Ruger now admits that the barrels were not up to snuff, new barrels being produced to replace failed their inspection. They are now waiting on a new batch.

there are a couple going on concurrently. i don't recommend getting the bisley in .480 or .454. mine went back twice, and came back with a new barrel, and a new set of problems each time. no more new rugers for me. as proof of their decline, i got an older #1 recently, and the barrel is as close to perfect as i've ever seen. their standards have plummeted, imho.
