Well, finally got this one off lay a way. Sorry for the sucky pictures, but my camera stinks. I ordered some Tyler T grips for it. From what I am hearing, these crooks took everybody's money even after they went out of business, and their website is still on too. Don't know if I can deal with the wood grips without the Tylers. May have to put the rubber Hogues back on it.

Man, that's nice.

I just wish it were possible to get the same arrangement in blue.

FWIW I find the Redhawk to be a very managable revolver with the stock grips, although I don't do superloudenboomenwhacker loads.

:)

Gunman ~ before you put the Hogues back on her, try those Uncle Mikes Butler Creek grips. I prefer the wood, tried Hogue wood (too big), tried the factory wood (too slick), tried factory wood with a T Grip and it wasn't bad but ...... I've settled on the Butler Creeks as "THE" grips for my .41 Mag. Redhawk.

Think Numrich may still have some in stock too.

That 4" Redhawk is a pleasure to behold. I haven't even seen one in my area, ever! I will have to put it in 45Colt on my "wish I had the money" list. Unfortunately the factory Redhawk grips seem to small for my hand so have switched all to the hogue mono grips. They are more hand filling but don't do much for the looks of the gun.

If you shoot regularly, you ought to be able to 'handle' the grips w/o a T-grip. I have a 5 1/2" blue .44mag as well as the 4" .45 and shoot the same load (10grs Unique/255gr cast LBT style bullet) in both and actually prefer the 'factory' grips w/o the T-grip unless I 'm doing a lot of DA shooting.

Well, sir, I shoot most of the time 3 days a week. Been shooting handguns for 30 years now, and rifles and shotguns longer than that. It is not the recoil of the gun I can't "handle". If the grip does not fit your hand comfortably, it is hard to shoot well, regardless if it is a .22 or a .44 Magnum. I posted another thread in the revolver section that stated how I finally found a set of grips that seem to fit my hand. They are the Uncle Mikes grips. Gun Parts Corp still has them, even though they are no longer made. Not the prettiest grips I ever owned, but they improved my groups considerable. I highly recommend anyone that has had the same difficulty as I with the Redhawk, to give these grips a try!
