I have a 44Mag SBH that I have never fired and I am thinking about selling the gun to purchase one with a longer barrel. The gun I wish to sell has a 4 5/8 barrel and is blued. I was thinking along the lines of value around $325.00. Am I correct or am I high or low?
TNX :?: :?:

Flatgete is right. Post some pictures, or at least tell us a little more about your gun. Is it an old or new model? Stainless or blued? Since you never fired it, is it in unfired condition, or did someone own it before you? Do you have the original box and /or paperwork?

If it's in good condition then someone should snatch it up VERY quickly for $325. If it's close to NIB condition, then you could be asking a little more. You're going to have a hard time finding another SBH with a longer barrel (or ANY barrel for that matter) for $325.

Good luck.

I'd say closer to $400 if a new model and LNIB, less with no box or with handling marks. If it was an OM 6.5" and never fired, I have a long barrelled SBH I'd trade. :D
Just remember that to sell with other than face-to-face transaction, there are cost if you have to ship and FFL fees to consider too. That can affect the asking price.

Jimbo's probably right. I have to remind myself what used guns bring nowadays. I'm stuck in the time when you could get a new Super for a tad over $400.

Even worse, my dad is stuck in the days when you could get them for $105.

Thanks for the info. My problem is getting the pictures on this forum, I can't seem to do it. I would like to sell on the forum but I can not sell to California because of the laws and finding a FFL dealer here that has met ALL their requirements it is next to impossible. I have located a SS SBH in the area and it has a 7 1/2 barrel. That is where I stand now and I guess I will take it to a gun show this weekend and see wehat happens.

I wouldn't let the photos hold you up - you can email photos to interested parties, and they can post them on here for others. Sounds like a few folks here might be interested in it.

Good luck with it.

You can mail me the pics at chrispbb at gmail. I am in Ca and an FFL, meeting the CFLC requirements is ridiculously simple. I would be interested and happy to help your FFL make it happen if interested.
