Are those some hollowbase wadcutters? Use to do those reverse loaded in a 38 S&W Masterpiece. They were awesome on little critters out to about 50yds. How do the .44's shoot?

Thanks for the compliments on the Flat Top .44!

Mine shoots better than I can hold it. Had a lot of trouble getting whacked with factory mags and the original aluminium grip frame. When Ron Power brought out his steel frame I bought one and installed it.

I could not believe it when I shot the factory mags and found that the steel frame cured the bruised finger issues. I don't shoot mags in it much anymore, but a reduced reload.

Have since cleaned up the polish and blue, and now have what Skeeter once desired, "an all steel fancy finished version of this fine gun..."

Skook1,

Before I cut the barrel on mine, the
most accurate load was a 240 gr.
jsp ahead of a generous loading of
H110. Best target pull, 1 1/8" @ 25yds.
Haven't shot it yet since the
barrel work. The loads shown are
240 gr. Kieth hollow base slugs cast
by sbh4628, loaded upside down.
Maybe he'll chime in with the mold#
on them.
