.44 mag BH/SBH OM bbl giveaway

I've been made to feel at home on this great forum and have sold some items as of late. As a thank you for the good people on this forum, I want to give away a .44 mag OM SBH 7.5" barrel. Before you get too excited, some BUBBA drilled though the ejector housing screw bushing right into the barrel! This thing either needs to be chopped below the housing screw bushing for a snubby or recycle the front sight and use the rest as a paperweight. Either way, PLEASE do not sell this to some unsuspecting schlub at a gunshow. (I was that unsuspecting schlub)

So....... The first person to respond with the correct answer to the below question here on this post gets the barrel free (including shipping in CONUS)

That's a beautiful barrel and perfectly useable!

If the threads are still good, once you put the housing on and tighten the screw in the hole, it's a non-issue. Just like magna porting holes in the barrel except with the screw in, no gas escapes. No effect on accuracy whatsoever.

If the threads are gone, chase new threads with a 8x36 tap. That's the thread size for the non-stud barrel screw (yes, it's one thread size larger, and the screw head is smaller). And use a newer housing for a non-stud barrel, to fit the smaller diameter screw head.

Suggestion, buy the winner a new front sight from Brownells or Ruger for the price of shipping the barrel to him and have the sight shipped direct to Buckeye.
