A friend called and his neighbor had a Ruger 44 Carbine stolen. He said it was an RS made in the mid 70's. I know nothiung baouthe carbines and he said he found references to teh RS trhat siad it was a littel more rare than others. Can someone fill me in and give a ballpark insurance claim value?

I didn't find anything in my small RENE collection but that doesn't mean it's not there.

RS stands for Receiver Sight. They're were factory equipped with the sight and sling swivels. My Blue Book (though it is about 3 years old) says $100 bucks more than a standard carbine in top condition.
