Hey guys, I'm loading up a bunch of ammo for the east coast gathering at Contender's place this October.
Here's my problem, it seams all my data for my .41 mag, 3" 657 was on an old computer and I can't find what I need on the interweb.
As best I can recall my load was a 210 gr XPT or Speer deep curl,( same e same ) over 7.2 grs of Universal Clays using a CCI 350 mag primer. I have nearly a full 2 pound can of U.C.'s and the .41 is the only gun I use it for.
My goal is to dupulacte the original .41 Police Special load pushing a .210 gr bullet at around 1,000 FPS.
My gun as you may know is a 1986 factory custom shop per production prototype of the Lew Horton guns that were introduced in 1987.
My gun wasn't even in the 1986 S&W catalog and according to their historian should have never left the factory, so its a pretty Special peice.
Bottom line I don't want to be pushing hot loads through it and I believe the load I described gets me right around 1,000 FPS.
It was a powder puff to shoot and very accurate.
Please let me know if any of y'all have data for Universal Clays and if I'm remembering the load I did a couple years ago.
Please P.M. me if you have an answer for me so I know to check back here ,I'm right busy and don't have time to really surf the forum there days.
Thanks,
Your Friend,
Lou
