I'm looking for some ammo that is less of a handful recoil wise, than my current 210gr 1500fps Underwood (shoot new model blackhawk). Since I don't reload it would have to be factory ammo. l'm thinking in the 170/180gr range, with a mv somewhere around 1100 fps or so for target practice shooting. Anybody have some suggestions or experience they'd care to share? Cost is a consideration. I've poked around on the net some, but not a whole lot of success finding any in stock, but I'm not in a big hurry.

Why don't you try these:

800 fps, very mild.......

Good price that! Do you know anything about the company? I've never heard of them.

Although I have never used any of their product, from what I have heard and read, they seem to have a very good reputation. If I didn't reload, I would not hesitate to give them a try.

+1 Never used but heard lots of good things about their ammo. They are a high volume manufacturer, re-manufacturer and seller of components. Lots of competition shooters buy ammo from them. :D

I have shot PMC in 41mag and it was fine. :D

Thanks to you and 427mach1. For the price, I can afford to try out a box. Was primarily interested in their rep as a legit outfit, what with all the fly by nites/scammers/id thieves out there. What I don't know is if their ammo is new brass or reloads, so I sent an email to them asking about that. Don't want reloads.

Georgia Arms has great ammo...bought it 25yrs ago, before I started reloading.

You will probably find that it is reloads as that is primarily what they sell...but their reloads are great.

I have shot THOUSANDS of rounds of it and NEVER had problem with a single round.

Got a reply from Georgia Arms. In case anyone else is interested in inexpensive .41 Mag SWC, this ammo is new Starline brass. Ordered 2 boxes 50 rdns each for $62 including shipping. :D

Starline brass is good stuff and that is a good price. Since you don't reload, go ahead and send me your empties when you are done with them!

Well, we might could work something out trade wise. :)
