Well I caved and bought a LCR in .327 to go with the Single Seven, GP100 and SP101 .327s. Took it to the range yesterday with the GP100 and my Dan Wesson 32 (.32 H&R Mag, going to have it reamed for .327 soon). The .327 barks a little bit in the LCR, but the gun shot nicely and the trigger was pretty smooth considering the gun is brand new. Really liked the way the LCR shot with .32H&R mags. I also took some .32longs with me. They shoot like .22s in the GP100 and in the Dan Wesson they almost feel like a pellet gun. All in all a fun range day.

PLEASE NOTE: Your Dan Wesson 32MAG is extremely rare and damned valuable to a DW collector. I've been offered a freaking fortune for my DW M732 6" SS 32MAG. Since it was a gift from the Wesson family boys I'd not trade it for a new P/U truck.

99% of the time I think most of us would be perfectly well served with one rimfire handgun and one centerfire handgun (in the caliber of your choice). But where is the fun in that. I personally like the various .32 caliber loadings and the guns that go with them. But I also have guns in a bunch of other calibers. Variety is the spice of life.

Why 327 (or 32 H&R for that matter) ? I can load 32's almost as cheaply as I can buy .22 rimfire ammo at what the gougers were charging until last year.
There is a pretty substantial gap between .22 rimfire revolvers and .38 Special/.357Mag. The 32's fill the gap for small game hunting, personal defense and just plain fun shooting.

Just for the record, I have an early .32 H&R Single-Six that I enjoy. As mentioned it's quite flexible in what ammo it can handle. Fun toy, for sure.
In answer to all above, I'm not dissing the cal, if you want it, and someone is willing to tool up for it, OK. I also like to shoot .32s (I have 4 of them) but have never seen a need for the odd ball chamberings of any std cal. MHO anyway.lolbell said:

Woody I have the same two guns and really wished Ruger had made the 327 GP100 in 6" barrel. Even better yet if Ruger had made the 327 in the light contour like the GP100 6" 357 mag. I have looked for a light contour GP100 barrel to have sleeved to .312 and put on my GP100 327 but so far no luck. That barrel option was not common.
