Took all three of my Ruger .327s to the range today: SP101 4", GP100 4" and single 7 7". Not suprisingly the Single 7 was the most accurate for me due to barrel length and very visible sights. My favorite to shoot was the GP100 and I think with a little work on the front sight it will be more accurate for me too. Hard for these old eyes to see the ramp sight as well the the blade on the Single 7. Took some long range 100 yard shots (guns are sighted in for 50 feet) and you don't have to use much Kentucky windage for the extra range. The .327 is a great round IMHO. Should be great out of the Henry rifles when they come available.

Oh, P.S. it was just about 60 degrees here in the Denver area today, supposed to be 8 on Saturday. Glad I could take advantage of the weather.

Hard to believe that is was warmer today after sundown than it was at noon. Amazing.

I'm looking forward to the Henrys hitting the market. I have a single shot in .32 H&R that pushes 115 grain Lead GC bullets at over 2000 fps.

I need to actually fire my .327. I got a 5.5" but had to send it back to Ruger. They replaced the complete frame. Now to order some brass and put together some loads.

z1r,
The brass I would order from Starline direct. You have to get 500 or 1,000 but it is worth it in the end. I keep my factory brass from the Federal and Speer loads and I use it for the everyday plinking loads (about 1,000 fps). The hot stuff I do in the Starline.

It is only in the 30's here in TN today but will be 64 tomorrow. Alas, no shooting 32's tomorrow. There is a gun show in Sparta and I have choir practice at 3pm for our Christmas cantata. Wish I could get out to do some shooting.

Glencal,

I always found some sight paint made the blades stand out more. I have used white-out and the sight paint from Birchwood-Casey.

Thanks,

I have all three barrel lengths of Single Seven. I find them easy to shoot accuratly.
The 71/2" SIngle Seven shoots like a rifle.

Another 327 fan here. I've got the 5.5" Single Seven, SP101 4.2", and the LCR. I bought 500 pieces from starline and am having a blast shooting and reloading them. I've also got a couple of 32 H&R's so had plenty of brass for the "low" power stuff. I'm looking forward to the Henry coming out. Just bought a big boy in .41 mag and haven't taken it out yet.
