Did anyone get one of the 327 mag blackhawk offered on gallery of guns this morning. If I read it right it was stainless with a blue cylinder.

You read it right. It's SS w/blue cyl. Not even shown on the Ruger site as a dist exclusive. Therefore might be a 1-of-a-kind or few of a kind cleanup gun be retailed thru Davidson's. Maybe its this one for sale now:

More than $100 over the all SS model.

So how many of these blue cylinder .327 Blackhawks were at Davidson's when they got them??? Need to establish rarity before everybody forgets about them.

I was thinking that the cylinder might have been ceracoted or something like it, and a blued ejector housing added.

When I first saw it hit the Davidsons website...there were 30 available. They were gone overnight. Still have not been able to see mine...sometime next week. Must be a cleanup...but why would they have 8 round blue cylinders to clean up?

It's not uncommon for unfinished parts still unblued at the factory to be mistaken for Stainless parts. We've seen this happen several times. I suspect unfinished non-stainless cylinder blanks were accidently drilled and reamed for 327. They were set aside until now to be blued and assembled into guns. Ruger wastes nothing and knows they will sell! Davidson's is a frequent recipient of these factory "goofs" from Ruger
