I bought one today.Pretty neat gun.I like the way it handles. The integral peep and rail is cool too.Mine has a 0001 prefix. How many of these is Ruger going to make?I'm thinking I might buy a second.

The quantity made of the model will be unlimited, as long as Ruger's distributors have the demand for them.
Only time will tell, but I'll bet they make a lot less than what one would think.

Congrats on the new rifle(s)!

I now have two receivers with 50th Anniversary markings, one black one silver. The only other part of the contest rifle I think I'd care for is the stock (I've seen two stocks for sale so far, but not cheap enough for me to buy~I'm sure there'll be more later)... I like 16" barrels and optics vs irons... while the rail is better than the standard version, Weaver's picatinny style rail is better (for me) than either and costs less than $8.

it's hard to not become obsessed with 10/22 variations.....

There are certainly plenty of them... even without the Distributor Exclusives!

I've been seeing a lot of variations lately.Mainly in different colored laminate stocks.Have you guys seen the one with the stock that holds 3 10rd mags?

Yes....there's four different finished in that one, black, snake camo, another camo and "muddy girl".
