#3 buehler scope mount and rings

what are they worth? they are set pretty low and I'm a dork who is going to put a 6.5-20x50mm on it and it looks like it won't fit. My thoughts, put on some weaver bases (or any other recommended ones?) and sell the buehler base and ring set, any idea what the going price is for that set and any recommended base? Thanks guys!

There are plenty of options, but in my experience, the Buehlers bases for the #3 are about as high as they come. Have you considered higher rings?

All the major makers make/made bases for the #3. Try to find some Redfield bases; they may be higher and get a set of high/extra high rings.

Personally, I think most people mount their scopes way too high; higher than is necessary or esthetically pleasing to be sure.

How about a smaller scope that is more in line with he size of the rifle?
