I just purchased this rifle from an estate. It's a Series 184 rifle with a factory folding stock. I was told it's unfired. I'm trying to figure out what kind of muzzle brake is on it and also how do I take it off or if I should leave it alone. Here are some pictures of it.
thanks

The brakes are generally held in place with a roll pin. easy to remove with a punch.

You are correct, I didn't think about the roll pin size. Maybe I should just leave it alone.

Very nice Mini, what a find, Yes I'd take that after market flash hider off and toss it over the fence far as I could fling it don't look righ for that gun at all.

Here is a pic. I don't see a roll pin or any pin at all. Any suggestions on taking this brake off.
thanks

It looks like it is not on all the way. Take a piece of hard wood and a hammer and tap it off.

You are correct, it doesn't look all the way on.

It could be a press fit, it could be attached with a spot of weld or blind pinned. Perhaps the roll pin holding on the factory sight is a bit long, enough to protrude into the cuts on the brake and hold it in place?

I'd figure out a way to get the thing off. I've not yet seen an aftermarket non-thread type of brake that looks right on the Mini.

Well that was easy. A few taps and it came off. It wasn't all the way on.
It's back looking original now.
