1971 Colt Python hammer needed question

Not sure I can Ask this here, I've asked on the colt forum but no response. Anyone know what kind of hammer I'd need for a 1971 nickle silver colt Python? Or what era hammer I'd need to get?

A lot of them on eBay, but all the ads say BROKEN SPUR ? I don't know what that means.

Broken spur same issue this colt I'm lookin for a hammer for has, end of the hammer had the part that's usually serrated for thumb use to cock the hammer back into single action. Broken spur means that part is broken off, usually making it harder if not possible to place a double action revolver into single action.
