This is the scarce 7.5" barrel version of the old model .44 Mag flattop Blackhawk, catalog number BKH47. The RENE estimate for quantity of BKH47 production is 1500 to 2000. I have owned this one for over 20 years. As I recall, I bought it because it was made in my birth year and has a confirmed ship date of Jan, 1960 per a phone call to Ruger Records, but I never bothered to get a letter for it. Revolver has not been converted to the transfer bar safety, so carry it with the hammer down on an empty chamber. Condition is about 90% with some typical wear in the usual places like left muzzle and steel ERH tip. There is a moderate turn line that looks like it has had some cold blue applied at some point prior to my purchase. There are also some rougher spots like a patch on the left side of the top strap (I took a close up of that). The action is smooth and original, the bore is fine, and lockup tight. The box, which is rough, is not an original BKH47 box but more like somebody's art project, where they apparently took a box for another 7.5" old model and cobbled together some wording for the end panel to read .44 Caliber Revolver. I have posted pictures of that end of the box in a few humorous threads over the years, which you may or may not recall. There is an instruction manual in the box but it is one of the reprints for out-of-production models.

SPF $1450 shipped FFL to FFL (no C&R due to USPS regulations)
If you don't want the funky box/papers, I will knock 50 bucks off.

Well I am glad someone bought it! If I wasn't building a house right now I would have been all over it!
