17 Hornet how good are they?

Looking into a 17 Hornet for its flat trajectory and supposed quietness, need a bit more zip than my Ruger 77/17 HMR but with similar sought of noise level. What do you think of it in a Ruger varmint or a CZ 527?

The 22 Hornet is not "quiet" in that it is not sub-sonic - just a bit less noisy than a 223 I suppose.
My VHZ is tuned by Randy at CPC, and it is very accurate with the right load. Zero felt recoil.
I'd buy the Ruger before a 527, which is also a fine rifle IME.
