My guns have either old 147 black talons or 147 HST's.
The odds or me ever using either are astronomical, so I am not
fretting either way but I know they penetrate and expand very well after shooting a bunch in beef fat.
I also have 124 grain +p HST sitting around that tested out fantastic as well. Those are nasty in meat.
Penetration was a couple of inches less than the 147's but violent expansion.
My opinion is it doesn't matter, get a premium anything and all is well.
But I will always give the nod to penetration if pushed in a corner.
So that would be for the 147's
