All the wish list and fantasy threads over the years I don’t ever remember someone asking for a 10mm lever gun. 
Such an odd choice for a next caliber. They don’t even have .45 Colt yet.
Still it’s very exciting to me to see a semi automatic pistol cartridge in a lever gun.
9mm and .45acp would both be very popular.

Ruger Introduces the Marlin Trapper Model 1894 in 10mm Auto
I've been saving 10mm range brass for a while now, figuring I might eventually get something to use it in. It's great to see this new offering from Marlin - not because I can afford to buy one, but because it might prompt a company that makes Winchester Model 92 clones to offer the same chambering (I've owned several Marlins, and discovered a few years ago that I prefer the Model 92 action)!

Hornady is apparently using a 150 gr bullet in their new 10mm LEVERevolution round, which is definitely on the lightweight end of the spectrum...

What does it do 'better' than a 44 mag?
Interesting observation. I have a Winchester model 92 in .38-40 and it’s a joy to shoot. I don’t shoot it often as it’s the real deal and it was manufactured in 1892. I find it very accurate and my handloads don’t punish the 133 year old action.
Satisfy the 10mm Kool Aid drinkers. :ROFLMAO:

Chambers 10mm?
I have any number of powerful rifles, I’ve got a 45/70 1895 as well. What I don’t have is a PCC, a 10mm will serve my needs handily. I’m not interested in stocking still another cartridge.
I would have preferred a .327 Fed in that 1894, but this will do.
I have a 10mm 1911 and a 10mm GP100. Might as well go with the lever gun as well. I have been a 10mm fan for years and am glad to see the caliber in other platforms. Would really like to see a "PC10".:)

I tried to talk myself into the Smith PCC . Just couldn’t do it, I’ve got some sort of anxiety about magazines, I wouldn’t be happy till I owned more than I’d ever need, which would have made the Smith pistol a necessary accesory. There I would be, $1500 into something I don’t really like (or need).
.400Legend has no rim, cannot be roll crimped and that proves problematic in leverguns. Doesn't take much force to set the bullet back into the case and the results could be catastrophic. The .460 would require a completely new design and a larger action.

If you really want one. Big Horn Armory makes a lever action in .460 I almost bought one in 500S&W for my 50th but went with an M1A instead.
The same goes for the 10mm that this rifle is chambered for. :)
The 10mm won't have enough recoil to matter.

1894 is inferior to the 1892.
10mm is a fine cartridge but not for a lever so that's worse.
But the most egregious are the short barrel, stainless steel, pic rail, giant loop, but pad, fiber sight, laminate stock and every other abomination to lever gun gods there is on that thing. Oh, and the stupidity of the price. $1600 and some will pay $2K.
I would buy a Ruger 1911 in 10mm if they'd make one Parkerized.

Agreed on the 1892 but Ruger owns Marlin, not Winchester.
I don't care for stainless steel or laminate stocks but apparently people buy them.
It doesn't have a pic rail or a fiber optic front sight. No whining about the threaded barrel?
$1600 is the MSRP, the street price will be 75% of that. Right now some are on Gunbroker for MSRP, not 2k.

I didn't study the picture once I saw laminate, stainless, and a stubby barrel. Threaded barrel is stupid too.
A lot of folks like leverguns as suppressor hosts. Myself included.
As far as stainless laminate leverguns, boltguns, revolvers, anything, they can keep them. I agree on that.

I predict that they will be as rare as hens teeth for quite a while. Also unlike a 1911 which captures the rim with the extractor as the slide picks up the cartridge it won't be able to utilize the 40 S&W cartridge.
