10/22 TD optics?

What are my choice for optics on the 10/22 Take Down?

One(s) that will allow the receiver half to go back into the bag?

I would prefer telescopic, not red dot.

And I would also prefer a decent scope (Leupold is top end, but doable)

Thanks in advance.

is it because it is new or am I being ignored?

Friday night low traffic? There has been some discussion of compact Scopes for the TD, including Leupold. I'll be sorting that out too. Look thru ssome threads, you'll find it.

I put a Scheels brand Icon scope on mine. Fixed 4 power with adjustable objective. At the time they had them on sale for $59.99, it was $20-$30 off, and I figured what the hell. It's not quite a compact scope but it seems pretty nice for the money. Plus if it breaks I can take it in to Scheels, and they will replace it no questions asked. Since my take down has become a truck gun for me, that made the deal. I would say the lenses on it are somewhat compareable to Nikon's Prostaff series, and that is primarily what I use on a lot of my hunting rifles.

I run a Vortex Daimondback 2x7 in QR rings, fit isn't and issue.

I put a BSA Sweet 22 3-9x40 on mine which is way to big to put the receiver back in the bag. I going to buy some quick release rings or rail for mine so if I need or want to put in back in the bag I can.

Is the take down receiver drilled & tapped for a weaver mount?

Yes it is just like all other 10/22's. Problem is the bag BARELY first the receiver half as it is, put a scope on it and it is way too long to use the bag, in most cases.

I am having mine drilled and tapped on the barrel in a "Scout" style with a handgun scope and low rings.

Solves two problems, over all length of the receiver side and keeps the scope/barrel zero.

I have pics when it is done.
