Got a look, and feel of a 10/22 Target model a couple of days ago, with the wood stock, and bull barrel.
I wanted to look at the Target Tactical, but the LGS did not have any of those.

I really like the gun, but am curious if it is more accurate than the regular 10/22, as there is a 200+ dollar difference in price between the basic 10/22
.

Ed if the cost of the gun is right get it. You can change out every part of a Ruger 10-22 oh so easily even the barrel is only two allen head screws. Buy the manlicher you saw for <$200. and then change it up to what you want the rifle to do. Keep the original parts or sell them.

I've got more invested in my 10-22 and Charger than the guns cost initially.
Go to www.midwayusa.com and search the Ruger 10-22 options. You will be absolutely amazed at what you can do with this little rifle and what you can do with it.

50 yard targets require no skill
100 yard targets maybe a bit of skill
200 yard targets require skill
300 yard targets require attention to detail
400 yard targets I'm still working out that solution.
