Are there any good, reliable higher capacity magazines out there for the 10/22 Magnum rifle? Actually, I'm using a Magnum Research. Everything I've read about the higher cap 10/22 Magnum +10 magazines says they are terrible. I really don't want to buy a $100.00 Volquartsen mag and would be happy with 15 to 20 rounders.

None that I know of... not enough rifles built to generate the interest of the after-market makers I suspect.

I don't particularly care about the high cap part, it's just that the damn factory mags are flush fit and a PITA to remove. At least the high caps have a sort of handle that makes them easy to turn out.

Get some black RTV Silicone (Auto parts store) and find a suitable "handle", then affix it to the bottom of the mag.. wouldn't be permanent with the RTV.

I was thinking of that - the stuff you mentioned will stick, no pulling off?

It sticks just fine. I use it to glue two magazines together (bottom to bottom) with a 1/2" spacer in between - spacer is from E&L Mfg.

Wal-mart also carries it...
