10/22 M14 EBR and M1A conversions

Are these kits you are planing to sell? How much do they weigh and do you have a link to your business?

They look great but the problem I see with any of these is it is a real PITA to take everything back off the gun in order to clean the 10/22. Unlike an AR-15 or M1, getting the bolt out of a 10/22 is a complicated process and these kits just make it even more complicated. I am also quite sure these are not cheap to build but still I would rather have a working 22lr then an airsoft

at the moment im not selling them. the M14 EBR weighs about 9-10lbs and the M1A Archangel is 13lbs

im not a business.

it takes less than 5-7 minutes to do a take down depending on how many screws are bolted in.

eventually ill have about 30+ .22LR in each of my stock.

im doing research if i need a class III manufacturing license to sell dress up kits since its not a firearm. im also talking to a CNC guy that charges $50 so im having him do some prototypes for my own personal use on my 10/22. ill get to keep the CAD drawing file just in case i decide to sell custom kits in the future. i think it would be fun to do it but there's a lot of researching i still need to do and learn.

i just do these for fun and to mess with people at the pistol range when i skip in with my custom gun cart loaded with my .22 conversions

I have held and fired many of the weapons you are imitating and this is kinda like driving a lambo kit car built on a fiero chasis. I am howerever very impressed with your design and fabricating ability.

yep im very aware its like driving a lambo kit on a fiero chassis. its still fun and cheap which becomes very satisfying when i go plinking.

i wish i had that privilege too to fire the real counterparts, unfortunately i dont see that happening which is why i did these conversions.

Oh don't take it the wrong way I am amazed at how they look. This maybe a way to get the BAR I want :-). Beside I have 4 10/22 and love shooting .22s

oh ok.

ya i started off with airsoft builds because its the closest to the look and feel of the real version on a 1:1 scale. some are aftermarket like archangel M1A, Sparta, Marauder, MG42, and muzzelite bullpup. some are homemade from scratch using a sheet metal bender. some are WWII parts kits that im working on right now that has to be rewelded and receivers fabricated. im talking to a CNC guy that can do CAD drawings and cut outs to see if i can sell my own dress up kits for the 10/22.

Oh by the way you don't need any type of license if the original 10/22 receiver is used. Unless you create a short barrel rifle but that has to be done by the owner.

Just purchased a few WWI parts for a couple more 10/22 conversions

This will take me a few months to finish these.

Will be using a CNC machine to cut out the dummy receivers and have it welded/bolted on.
