I completely stripped my 10-22 to have it cerakoted. I put it back together tonight and now I have a problem.

After firing a magazine, the bolt locks back and gets stuck in the rearward position. I have to remove the action from the stock and separate the trigger assy from the receiver to get it to go forward.

At first I thought the aftermarket bolt hold open was causing it. Close inspection revealed a slight burr. I stoned it smooth but the problem continues.

I assume I have a spring or something installed incorrectly. The rifle never had this problem before.

Thanks

Vic

Was the receiver cerakoted on the inside? Is it possible the added thickness of the cerakote is causing some sort of issue? Just a guess. Especially if you did not have that problem before.

One suggestion if you think it's a spring. Take it apart and put it back together again. See if that fixes it.

My first move would be to replace that with the factory part and see if that cures it.
