#1 report from Allen TX Cabelas

Visited local store, on the used rack were several 280 A ($1000 marked) models, and a 3006 $1200. RSI models 257 Rob and 7x57 $1600, a B in 220 Swift, and most interesting was H models in 416 Rigby and 375HH $1200. No good wood on any of them. They still call these factory seconds according to one salesman. Had a couple of used ones at new prices as well.

quite a few in the KC Cabela's used rack, several #1A, 7x57, 30-06, 243 I saw

I have yet to see a Cabelas #1 with good wood. In fact all of the wood is very bland with no character at all. The stock to receiver fit is poorly executed as well. I hope this is not the new norm.
