“Auto-brewery syndrome”---No, it is not a still in a car

Back in the late 60's, and early 70's I was a long distance runner (1-6 miles). In our running community was a young man who excelled. In the mid 70's he became married to a nurse. He was unable to get her pregnant. On exam by his physician, the young man had no facial hair, no under arm hair nor pubic hair. All these are secondary sex characteristics, a 20+ year old should have. As a runner he couldn't " carb load" without getting severely nauseated. The doctors at a University found he had a systemic yeast infection secondary to prolonged antibiotic treatment of a bad case of acne. They treated his yeast ( a one year proposition back then), and in six months got his wife pregnant, and started growing hair where it should have been! Yeast can cause some strange stuff!
