Spurless blued DAO hammers

I ordered a blued DAO spurless hammer(Six Series) to have as a spare and am wondering what Model Six Series were these used for originally? I'm guessing they were for special contract blued guns but never seen one on any Ruger revolver.

I can't give the whole story as I only have one: Speed Six, 150-7204X, 2 3/4" bbl, blued, .357 Magnum with a DAO hammer (SS-32 markings on the box, nothing about being hammerless). It was built in Nov 1973 and shipped to Jay Barclay Wood, Henderson, KY that same month. I have a Ruger letter dated Dec 2, 2024 but since we can't get letters any more it would probably be tough to try to get any more info about it. With that information I would surmise it came from the factory with the DAO hammer, possibly a special order?

None of the blued contract guns that I have, have DAO hammers. The NYCPD guns (stainless) mainly have DAO hammers but they (NYCPD) did get some with SA/DA hammers.

FWIW:
At one time Ruger sold spurless hammers for people who wanted one. I bought a couple of them back in the 1980s.
I vaguely remember them coming shrink wrapped onto a yellow piece of card stock so they could be displayed on a hook at a shop. I’ll hunt around and see if I still have one in factory packaging.

Those blued DAO spurless hammers were primarily used on early-to-mid 1980s Ruger Security-Six and Service-Six revolvers in certain police/military contracts or special orders, as well as some Speed-Six variants. They’re relatively uncommon on standard catalog guns.
