You guys probably noticed that to some reason Ruger Bearcat cylinder stamp located up side down if revolver pointed leftwards? On the other hand Ruger Bisley stamp located correctly on the cylinder....and just for comparison I also included a picture of stamps on my pre Civil War Colt Navy just to demonstrate that it's a right way to level stamps since Colonel Samuel Colt made us all equal. So why Bearcat is different? Was it designed by left-handed gunsmith or it's a simple mistake?

At least it's not like the "backward" cylinder marlings on some of the Old Army revolvers.

To read those, you needed to point it right at your guts! 😳
(Slight exaggeration, as most of us can read upside-down…)

Colts; the screws & patent dates are on the left side, their predominant side. The way it's been since the beginning.

Rugers; just the opposite,,, and I know what your going to say,,,
"what about the name and caliber"

…and for a long time the "Legal Warning",,,

as flatgate would call it, that's the side you put down so you don't have to look at that. 😉

Every time I see 4 X 4 printed on a vehicle, I am tempted to grab a paint brush and end it with "=16 Dumbass" :ROFLMAO:

What difference does 4X4 make?
Those trucks have the wheels switched out so often. Used to be cars, In the 50's. 60's. Muscle cars never had stock wheels. Cragar Super Sports ,,, 5 spokes. Now, truck wheels are usually directional. My Fords had 17",,, factory curved spokes.

I'd like to see and learn more about your Colt. Do you shoot it? Looks to be in really nice condition.

it was on the range with me few times, I prefer not to shoot historic weapons too much because you know we are temporary owners of this guns, we go they stay, so in order to preserve it for future generations I don't shoot a hell out of old Colts .... I have Rugers for that purpose ;)
