I have been looking for a Single Six that was born in '60, just like me. Well, the search is over. Found this beauty and had to make it mine. As a bonus it came with the correct box and paperwork, even the wax paper! It's in good shape- no rust, minor bluing wear in the usual places, and the grips show signs of use. An honest gun, one that is nice to have in my collection but I'm not afraid to take it out and shoot it.

While I was at the gun shop picking it up, I got a little bonus. They know I like older stuff, and someone just brought in some vintage bricks off .22. There was Blazer, Remington, and this beauty! Appropriately colored to match the Ruger box, and from Western Auto no less! Blast from the past!

Kudos on finding one made in your birth year. Now a letter from Ruger can let you know if it was done in the same month! :D

Love the ammo find as well!

We had a Western Auto in the village where I went to school. I couldn't buy the ammo but my dad did. We shot plenty of that Revelation .22 in the various rifles in the house. Dad had a 1951 vintage Winchester Model 62A that he bought new and it served him until he died. It grew feet like everything else after he was gone. Beautiful Single Six too!!! That is something to be proud of.

Letter is on its way!

Contemplating a set of Chig's Grips for this one…already have a set of blanks purchased. Haven't decided if they need to go on something else - this one looks pretty good all original
