Ya got good taste krw! One of my favorites. Sorry can't sell ya my Skinner as it is sentimental and only one I got from my youth. Made in 1966 and I paid under $30 for it new. Hope your hunt for vintage Pumas is successful. Love those nickel carbon blades. now I believe made from 440C stainless.

Well I tried, I once owned a folder much like the Buck 110. The Puma was purchased in the 70s and never really used. As I recall I got it half off at about 35-40 bucks. I spent time looking everywhere today for it. I may have sold it during a yard sale a few years ago. Sorry.

I sold my vintage Puma White Hunter years back. It had the stag handles, the green plastic box, and was in like-new shape. I got good money for it but I wish I still had it. Been tempted to buy another…

Have heard they came with a green box in the past but never got the box and never knew about it at the time. Bought my Skinner back in 67 and still have it. Probably be worth more with the box too. Maybe I could find one online? paid around $27 with the tax back then! Sure seems cheap as heck now but took half my pay check as a kid back then. LOL

IIRC, it was a green plastic bottom with a green/gold top? I got it at an estate sale as a kid in the 60's. Probably paid about $20 back then…that was a lot to a kid. I seem to remember I got almost $400 for it. It will probably cost me that much to get another…

Here's a current EBay auction that shows the box. Green plastic top and gold fiberboard bottom.

Puma's are like OM Rugers. The more complete the pkg, and the better condition of knife and packaging the more value they hold. Ebay is a good place to get an idea what different Puma's, packaging, and condition are worth. BUT!! Only look at what sells!!! And when one sells, the seller pays 13% of selling price to Ebay and PP.
