Several posts in the above-linked thread which might give someone a lead.
The thread contains:
-Names of a couple custom gunsmiths of interest
-Reference to an article in the May, 1980 issue of "Magnum Power" magazine. The article was apparently about a Super Blackhawk-based, switch-barrel custom revolver called the "Centaur."
-Reference to a custom revolver called a "Medusa." (Note the mythology naming trend.)
-A post from Dick Thompson (aka "sixshot"), referencing a revolver that sounds somewhat similar to the one that spawned this thread. That revolver was apparently present at one of the "Shootist" gatherings, circa 2006(?).
Anyway, lots of clues in that thread, for further research.
