Need to tap through all 6. Looking for 'throats' not only smaller but 'different' or even out of round... They are out of round and different. They vary by up to a thouandth in dia. & by .0005" in roundness. What should I expect?

I was able to tap a sized .452 bullet through and when miked the bullet measured .4515. I'll shoot it like that for now and see if it performs well as is before opening up the throats to the .4525 most shooters take them to. Now that I know the throats are not the .450 so many complain about I...

I think I've read some threads that refer to replacing the stock NM Blackhawk hammer with the Super Blackhawk model. Is it a drop in if true or is there a lot of fitting required? Is it worth it to have the wider hammer spur or are there other advantages?

For 1000 FPS with 260 gr. cast bullets from a NM Blackhawk 5-1/2" barrel, how hard should the bullets be?

I have seen a number of references to tight cylinder chambers on 45 Colt Blackhawks. What do I look for and under what conditions do I or should I ream them. I have seen a chucking reamer in .452 on Amazon.com for a bit over $20. Is that a good price?. It's new, not used.
