It's what I have set aside in a magazine for home defense. Wish I had more to shoot but funds are limited. Do you think the 115gr +P would be a better choice, since the 115gr FMJs had no problems? Or is it just +P ammo in general?

I found some Federal Champion 115gr FMJ 100 round value paks at Walmart for $19.97. With tax that is only $10.68 a box! They had several boxes in stock but I only got 2 until I get a chance to see how they shoot. Seems like a good deal!

Thanks Conn AK! From what I read on the other forum it's actually harder on the magazine spring to unload and cycle the bullets in another magazine than to keep them in same one for extended period. The spring wears out not from extended tension but through compressing in and out. Kind of like...

Thanks! I did search first and guess my criteria wasn't good because I couldn't find anything. I did find some info though on another forum. Seems like there's varied opinions, although one magazine manufacturer recommends that higher capacity double stack magazines should be downloaded by one...

Will it do any harm to the magazine of my SR9 by keeping it filled to full capacity for an extended period? I seem to remember from the past it might be better on the spring to keep 16 instead of 17 in this case. I plan on swapping out the rounds between the two magazines every couple of weeks...

Thanks labhound! Would you happen to know the best place to buy online? I'm probably gonna go for 500 of whatever is cheapest of the Winchester FMJs. The local Walmart might be comparable in price too and less of a hassle.
