Value of 22 auto pistol barrel/receiver?

But, but,...Id keep thinking about the sad, lonely little barrel all alone in the dark box, just wanting to be shot again.

Value of 22 auto pistol barrel/receiver?

It looks like it was made in 1978 from the ser #. It looks like that slot, which this doesnt have, wouldnt be too difficult to put in if it opens up parts availability. Im in the US, in the N Rockies. Im not commited to this at all, a freind had it. Neither of us had any idea what its worth...

    Lost Bolt

Ive seen bolts listed on ebay or other online sales places when I googled them in the past. Seems like they were in the $100-$125 price range. Being in Canada may be a problem. There may be a way to work with the export regs though.

Value of 22 auto pistol barrel/receiver?

Can anyone make an educated guess what it would cost to buy used parts to get it working? I saw a few complete parts sets minus the barrel/receiver but they were several years old. Would Mark II grip frame and lower parts work with this or does it need to all be earlier parts?

Value of 22 auto pistol barrel/receiver?

Its the standard with fixed sights and short barrel. I havent checked the vintage yet. Ser 14-83xxx. Finish is very good overall, with some blue marred where the grip frame fit against it, but no problems where it would show. If the rest of the gun was as good it may be about 90%.

Value of 22 auto pistol barrel/receiver?

What would be a fair value for an early type Ruger 22 auto barrel/receiver? There are no other parts with it. Anyone know what it would cost to buy the parts needed to make it work again? Its in pretty clean shape, its a shame it was cast aside. Apparently someone bought an AMT...

Ruger Hawkeye in .223 cal ....question/help?

Years ago Ruger stated that their 223 rifles were fine to shoot 5.56 rounds in. I haven't heard anything of it from Ruger in years. Has anyone called or emailed Ruger to ask? Agree that the 1-9 twist should be a good general purpose twist rate.

Thoughts on an M-77 round top 7x57?

It had occurred to me that in a worst case situation, I could probably have it chambered to 280 and clean up the throat. That takes some of the fun factor out of a 7x57 though.

Thoughts on an M-77 round top 7x57?

Yes, I understand individual guns will have variable accuracy, I should have been more specific. Some of the comments I saw mentioned that the 7x57's tended to be throated rather long, in the traditional style for 175 gr RN bullets, and that lighter bullets often didn't shoot well, but the...

Thoughts on an M-77 round top 7x57?

I came across a round top M-77 in 7x57. From what I've read in searching, they can be variable in how well they shoot. Are some periods of manufacture only going to like long heavy bullets, or does it vary some between individual guns? I'd like to be able to use a variety of bullets, ultimately...

    Ruger's Scout Rifle (Opinion)

When I was in AZ, the 5 round limit was only for centerfire semi auto rifles, manually operated rifles weren't limited. Edit: I looked it up on the Az Game and Fish website, it's still only centerfire semi autos that have magazine capacity limits. Manually operated guns are not limited.

    Ruger's Scout Rifle (Opinion)

I agree the trend towards handier, more practical field rifles is good. I don't see much need for some of the features of the scout or the Ruger version of it for my use but the general idea is good, a handy, powerful general purpose rifle. I don't carry as much as EVR, but perhaps a bit more...

    Longest Shot with a Revolver

A few years ago we had a 18"w x 36" h steel plate hanging at 300 yards. We shot at it with everything. One good day, I managed 5 hits for 6 shots with the 4" 29, and 6 for 6 with the K-22. I believe I was kneeling (cheating). Managed about 4 for 10 with the ex's G-19 on an 18" plate @ 300 a...

Barrel twist on 187 prefix mini/ranch?

A friend has a 187 prefix stainless ranch rifle and was wondering what the barrel twist rate was, anybody know? Are the dates of manufacture available for these rifles? Thanks for any info.
