    I sent mine back without a mag and got it back with one new mag and a hat.

    Not necessarily true. KelTec is known to put your old serial number on new pistols when they feel it's appropriate to replace the entire pistol. Idon't see why Ruger would not do the same.

    I'm sure the slide and barrel were replaced and the frame shows no wear that I can see, so I'm assuming it's all new. I had removed the magazine safety, but it's back in there again. Of course if it's all new it would the mag saftey. I'm anxious to try the new trigger, but won't be able to...

    Yeah and it's a quality hat, not one of those cheap hats like most give away hats are.

    My SR9 is finally back. I originally sent it in for barrel peening in March. I came back with an extra magazine and an SR9 hat. Looks like it might be a completely new pistol and not the one I originally sent.

    Got a call from Ruger today. They said my SR9 retrofit has been completed and as soon as it's test fired it will be on it's way back- :D

    Mine's been there since March and in a phone conversation with Ruger service today, I was told they haven't even worked on it yet!

    I sent mine in for a different problem too and it's been so long, I forgot what it was! Oh I just remembered. It was for the peening problem.

    I think you'd be upset if you hadn't seen your SR9 for 3-1/2 months. I can't shoot it unless I go to the Ruger service dept where it's been for those 3-1/2 months and I have no idea how many more months it's going to be. I'm getting more pissed the more I think about it.
