What ever works for you. All properly fitted holsters must have some form of retention, either a thong or a snap strap. Most active out door people will find this true. :D

I got on six gun leather and I only missed the price of a holster by $10. That is pretty good. With the britches around the knees and a little under 6,000 posts the time element would preclude any hunting.
